In this beginner’s class, you will learn the process of making a line etch print. You’ll prepare the copper plate, draw through an acid resist coating, etch it in a safe acid bath, ink it for a first proof, make changes if necessary, ink and proof again, and then print a small edition of five original prints. Epp-Carter is passionate about this process and will guide you through step-by-step with demonstrations, individual instruction, and group discussions.
