Instructor: Marty Epp-Carter Skill Level: Beginner Medium: Printmaking Total Class Hours: 15 Description: One of the oldest and most traditional forms of Fine Art Printmaking is Intaglio Etching. In this beginner’s class, you will learn the process of making a line etch print. You’ll prepare the copper plate, draw through an acid resist coating, etch it in a safe acid bath, ink it for a first proof, make changes if necessary, ink and proof again, and then print a small edition of five original prints. Epp-Carter is passionate about this process and will guide you through step-by-step with demonstrations, individual instruction, and group discussions. Come prepared to enter the magical world of printmaking, where there are no wrong questions and the answers may surprise you! Start your weekends a bit early with this amazing class!
