Crosshatching in pen and ink is a classical technique that utilizes parallel or random intersecting lines to shade a drawing. The denser the line spacing, the darker your object will appear. Hatching can create subtle as well as bold, dramatic shading. We’ll start with the basics, progress to a simple still life, then spend most of the class developing a portrait of your choice. Please bring the following supplies: Sketchbook, 0.1 and 0.5 Fine Line Illustration Black Marker (Mater’s Touch), 2B Pencil, and Eraser Registration will close on July 1.
