About this event
This course, presented by an American Canoe/Association certified paddling instructor and member of the USCG Auxiliary, is designed to introduce beginner, novice, or occasional paddlers to the basic safety concepts of paddling. Paddlers who attend this course will gain a solid understanding of when to go paddling, where to go, what to bring, and how to get back safely. April Gleason is a volunteer with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Registered Maine Guide and Level 2 ACA Coastal Kayaking Instructor for LL Bean. April developed a passion for kayaking the first time she picked up a paddle. She will cover how to make the most out of every paddling trip by being prepared and safe on the water.
