Join All Caps Farm, a local specialty mushroom farm, and Chef Cat Mata for an immersive cooking experience celebrating the flavor and versatility of gourmet mushrooms. Learn how to cook with freshly harvested varieties grown using regenerative, sustainable methods while exploring creative ways to incorporate mushrooms into everyday meals!
Learn how to transform mushrooms into delicious and satisfying dishes while discovering their nutritional benefits and unique textures. Under Chef Catherine’s guidance, you’ll prepare and enjoy a menu featuring Black Pearl Skewers cooked to a tender and smoky perfection; Lion’s Mane “Crab” Cakes, a plant-based twist on a classic favorite; and Oyster Mushroom Pasta that is earthy, creamy, and full of umami.
Come hungry and curious because this class promises a mix of culinary creativity, community, and fun whilell highlighting the best of locally grown fungi.
All Caps sells their mushrooms at Casey Community Center’s Thursday Farmers Market and Main Street Farmer’s Market in the Kentlands on Saturdays.
