Learn the joys of contract bridge in this 10-week program, perfect for beginners, those seeking a review, or experienced players looking to play. Bridge has a logic and vocabulary all its own, yet still requires just four people and a deck of cards. We start our series with the mechanics of the card play and with the idea of playing in a partnership. We explain how to evaluate the strength and weaknesses of a hand and how the game is scored. We introduce modern aspects of the bidding process. And then we play simply for the love of the game. Students learn at their own pace, play hands, and receive materials for home review. Instructors Nelle and Jim Lucas, certified by the American Contract Bridge League, bring over 30 years of experience in teaching and tournament play.
