About this event
Three IN-PERSON Sessions March 18, 25, April 1 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. This course will introduce participants to the basic ideas behind Artificial Intelligence (AI.) Information about the history of AI, regulating AI, and the potential benefits offered by AI as well as the potential hazards, will be presented. Information about AI resources will be included. The course will be interactive, with participants participating using whiteboards and markers. Not a requirement, but participants who are able to bring their laptop computer to the class sessions will be able to experience AI sources available online during some of the sessions. Frank Lock retired in 2009 after teaching high school chemistry, physics, and astronomy for 35 years. Since moving to Gainesville in 2009, he has taught six or so BULLI courses. He is active in the Georgia Science Teachers association as well as the American Association of Physics Teachers.
