Description

Silversmithing 101: Beginner Soldering with a Butane Torch - Instructor: Paige Pauley

Mon, Tue, Wed. 6pm - 9pm

Join us for a fun and exciting workshop in Beginning Soldering Sterling Silver jewelry.

If you have ever wanted to make silver jewelry this is your chance to jump in there without a HUGE investment. The focus is learning about Soldering but having fun doing it. We will be using sterling silver and making a band ring as well as a ring that is set with a cabochon stone. To solder you will be using a Butane torch that we will supply for you to use. It's easy to use, trust me. You will learn about simple texturing, cutting, measuring, sawing, filing, making a bezel and a ring shank. We will solder the pieces of the ring together then set the stone and do a final polish on the ring.

If you do not have any tools that's OK, we have a tool package for $50.00. TOOL RENTAL is available on the 'Register Page' under 'Classes & Events'.
We will supply the stone for your ring. Choices and colors of Japer, Agate and some Turquoise will be available.
*Safety Protocol:
Wear close-toe shoes.
Safety glasses for eye protection.
Long hair secured.
