Get ready for a musical adventure down under! In Wombats on Broadway!, young performers in grades K–1 will join a cast of lovable wombats as they learn how to sing, dance and act with the help of their talented friends—kangaroos, emus and other Australian animals. Together, they discover the magic of teamwork, creativity and confidence as they prepare for the biggest Broadway-style show the outback has ever seen! Throughout this fun and engaging class, students explore age-appropriate musical theater skills through imaginative games, songs, movement activities, storytelling and character creation. Guided by two experienced teaching artists, kids build performance skills while developing self-expression, listening, cooperation and stage presence in a supportive and encouraging environment.The session will culminate in a delightful final performance for family and friends, where students share everything they’ve learned and bring their exciting Broadway adventure to life on stage.
No previous theater experience is required—just bring your imagination and get ready to shine!
Children must be ready to participate in the class independently. Parents are invited into the classroom for a brief 5-minute orientation on the first day of class.
