In this two-hour introductory Gelli printing class, adults will explore the playful and experimental process of monoprinting using a Gelli plate. Participants will learn the basics of applying acrylic paint, creating layered prints, and building texture using a variety of tools such as stencils, natural materials, and textured objects. The class will begin with a short demonstration of essential techniques including brayering paint, pulling prints, and creating ghost prints. Students will then experiment with color combinations, pattern making, and layered compositions to produce a series of unique prints. Throughout the session, the instructor will guide participants through the creative process while encouraging exploration and personal expression. By the end of the class, each student will leave with several one-of-a-kind prints and a better understanding of how Gelli printing can be used for collage, mixed media artwork, cards, and art journaling.
All materials will be provided for this class.
