Description

Bring your imagination to life in this hands-on two day family workshop led by visiting artist Sofiya Inger, the inaugural recipient of the Skip McKinney Faculty of the Year Award in 2012. As part of our McKinney Master Class Series, this special experience invites families to explore storytelling through sculpture using rich, tactile materials.

Working side-by-side, children and adults will design and build their own mythical creatures using a variety of fabrics, textures, and mixed media. From soft and whimsical to bold and fantastical, each creation will reflect your unique imagination while introducing foundational techniques in soft sculpture and material exploration.

This workshop is designed for children ages 6+ with an adult, making it a perfect opportunity to create together, experiment with new materials, and learn from an Art Center celebrated artist.

Come ready to imagine, build, and bring your creature to life!

You must register all members of your group. Price listed is per individual. Each group must include atleast one adult. All materials are provided.
