Beginner-No Experience Tuition includes one 25 lbs. bag of clay In this 4-session class*, we will dive headfirst into the fundamentals of wheel thrown pottery. By creating functional work through experimenting with cups, mugs, bowls, and vases, we will learn the basic techniques and skills to create wheel thrown pottery. We will also explore the world of color and texture as we investigate surface decoration and glazes. Each student will walk away with several finished works as well as a solid foundation of throwing on the potter's wheel. *Class meets on Wednesday evenings in May, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Open studio hours will begin AFTER the first session on May 6, and are then held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
