PLEASE NOTE: Registration for Touchstone's Residency Program is open only to those who have 1) submitted a program application through SlideRoom by the posted deadline date, 2) completed an interview with a Touchstone representative, AND 3) received approval from Touchstone to participate. STUDIO: The 2-Week summer residents will work in a shared mixed-use space. This will accommodate artists working in ceramics, drawing/painting, writing, fibers, and other various mediums. Consumables (i.e. oxygen, propane, etc.) and materials (i.e. steel, clay, etc.) for personal production are the responsibility of the resident and will be charged at cost. Studios will be prepped/ready upon arrival and a general studio cleanup will be scheduled for all participants the day before departure. MEALS: Resident Artists may have the option to add on meals for the duration of their residency for an additional fee. If meals are not available or an artist decides not to opt into a meal plan, they will have access to a fully equipped communal kitchen, grill, and dining area. Throughout the residency artists often come together and periodically plan group meals during their stay. Residents are encouraged to explore the beautiful Laurel Highlands area where Touchstone is located. Multiple grocery stores and restaurants within a 15-20 min drive from Touchstone’s campus. Due to the rural location of Touchstone’s campus, it is strongly recommended that participants bring a car to the LODGING: Private lodging (dorm or cabin based on availability) is included with the residency fee. A linen rental package can be purchased for $50. CHECK IN/OUT: Residents must check in on day 1, between 12pm-4pm in Touchstone’s main lodge. All residents must be checked out by 11:00am on their last day (Unless discussed with and approved by Touchstone staff).
