Fanore Burren Run Jog Walk 2026 - Half Marathon, 10K & 5K

Join us for one of Ireland's most scenic running events along the Wild Atlantic Way in beautiful Fanore, County Clare.
This year's event holds special significance as we honour the memory of Kevin McCormack, founder of the Fanore Run, and Ivan Linnane, long-time committee member and supporter. Their dedication, friendship and enthusiasm helped shape the event into the much-loved community occasion it is today.
To mark this year's run, every participant will receive a unique commemorative medal featuring Kevin and Ivan - a fitting tribute to two men who contributed so much to the Fanore community.
Choose your distance:
Half Marathon - €30 (€25 over-65s and students)
10K - €25 (€20 over-65s and students)
5K - €20 (€15 over-65s and students)

The course. All three distances are loop courses starting and finishing at O'Donohue's Pub, on quiet L roads and green roads well away from traffic, with the Burren limestone on one side and the Atlantic on the other. The half marathon takes on the climb up Slieve Elva - a serious test, and the views at the top are your reward. The 10K is a little less challenging, and the 5K is a nice gentle course. Every route is marked and every finish clearly signed.
Walk it, jog it or race it. Dogs are welcome on the run, on a lead.
