Foundations of Drawingfor Adults 18+

Students are required to bring their own supplies to class.
Materials can be purchased at Michael's or Blick Art Materials.

• 18 x 24 pad of drawing paper
• 8.5 x 11 pad of tracing paper
• 12 count Generals graphite pencil kit
• Large Kneaded Eraser, Faber–Castell
• Wedge Sharpener, KUM
• Compressed Charcoal, General's Assorted 4 pack
• Charcoal Pencil, General's - Peel & Sketch, Medium
• White pencil, General's

In this foundational drawing class, participants will develop their use of the elements of art through several design principles. We will experiment with different materials and tools during the course. We will explore several drawing techniques, including gesture, contour lines, and shading with values. Each artist is encouraged to work from subject matter that inspires self and celebrate their own unique drawing style.

This class is open to both beginners and students with experience who want to continue their studies and increase their skills.
