Step back in time & Leap into Discovery at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science!
EPRD and Active Adult Programs are excited to announce the February 2026 Excursion to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science-where yesterday's stories meet tomorrow's wonders! We'll explore captivating exhibits that bring the past to life, from ancient animals to modern marvels of geology and everything in between!

The registration costs for this event include:
- Transportation to The Museum and back from Buchanan Park Recreation Center
- General Admission to Museum & Exhibits
- Admission to Special Exhibit Theatre
- Packed lunch
- Guided tour around the Museum
- ...and so much more!
Please Note: This event is considered LIGHT in terms of difficulty. The Museum takes place in a fully paved, ADA accessible location. However, all attendees must be able to mobilize themselves, whether by mechanical assistance (wheelchair, walker, cane, mobility aid) or on their own without assistance from EPRD staff. We have VERY LIMITED spots for those using wheelchairs, if you would like to reserve one of these spots for Wheelchair access, you must reach out to Nick Braden (AA Program Coordinator) to confirm that reservation.
Event Schedule:
- Please arrive at BPRC (Bristlecone Lounge) by 10:45am and be ready to load up and hit the road by 11:00am Sharp.
- We will leave BPRC for the Museum at 11:00am, arriving at the parking area by 11:45am. After unloading, we will work our way inside the museum and have our lunches inside at the Cafe.
- Attendees are recommended to bring their own funding for purchases at the gift shop or at the Cafe. However, lunch is included in your Reservation and buying extras would not be necessary if you choose to do so.
- Around 12:30pm, we will make our way through the Exhibits until our reserved Theatre Showing begins. Depending on the exact time of the showing, we will view the exhibits before and after the Theatre Exhibit.
- We will be exiting the Museum and loading up on the bus around 3:30pm. We will then make our way back up to Evergreen and be back at BPRC no later than 4:15PM. Please have all transportation plans for getting home in place prior to leaving that morning.
