Join EPRD's Active Adults Program as we Dino-Soar to Dinosaur Ridge for our September Excursion!
Step aboard for a fascinating adventure millions of years in the making! Join the Active Adults Program for a guided bus tour of Dinosaur Ridge, one of Colorado's most remarkable natural treasures. From the comfort of the tour bus, you'll travel along a scenic route while learning about the prehistoric creatures that once roamed our area.
Expert guides will point out real dinosaur tracks, ancient fossils, and incredible geological formations while sharing stories about Colorado's distant past. This accessible tour is perfect for history buffs, nature lovers, and anyone curious about the world before humans.

All participants will meet at the Bristlecone Lounge on September 17th at 11am, and be prepared to load up on the bus and leave by 11:15am. We will make our way to the Information Center at Dinosaur Ridge, and will be linked up with our Tour Guide there. We will be taking the Bus tour, and will be hopping off the bus for specific sites and areas to look around. Lunch will be provided for all attendees, as well as drinks and refreshments as needed. We will load back up on the bus at the end of the tour around 2:30pm, and will return to the Buchanan Park Recreation Center around 3pm. All participants should have rides set up from Buchanan Park Recreation Center prior to our departure.
PLEASE NOTE: this activity is considered MEDIUM in terms of difficulty for accessibility and walkability. We will be in a rural, outdoor area which includes sloping ground, unpaved walkways, and rocks and dirt for mobility. We can accommodate 1-2 Wheelchair users, please reach out to us ahead of time to reserve one of those spots.
All participants must register online to participate. Registration will close when all spots have been reserved or 48 hours prior to the event for logistics.
