Do you want to stretch your creative muscles in this zero-pressure environment? Is your to-be-written novel calling your name? Calling beginners, hobbyists and those polished in their trade: This inclusive group for community, by community is putting pen to paper in June under the guidance of our multi-talented Y leader and adept writer Alyson Mann!
Whetting the appetite: Chips, healthy chip swaps, veggies, fruits and all things “dippable” at this light snack bar. Members are encouraged to bring their favorite homemade dip, if desired.
Icebreaker games: Quick, low-pressure writing prompts and games to get to know each other.
Author spotlight: A round-robin chat where everyone shares their favorite author and one book that completely changed their perspective.
Club brainstorming: Discuss what everyone wants to get out of the club (e.g. critique sessions, quiet writing hours or genre deep-dives) and set our regular meeting schedule.
