Free popcorn for film lovers, as we gather to watch “Moonlight,” an Oscar-winning masterpiece celebrated for its poetic cinematography and vulnerable performances. This coming-of-age drama chronicles the life of Chiron, a young black man growing up in a rough Miami neighborhood, as he grapples with his identity, sexuality and the trauma of his environment.
Drop-in for the popcorn and relaxed atmosphere. Those interested in taking a deeper dive can stay for an optional post-movie discussion of topics like character, themes, production and media representation.
