This class is open to parents and caregivers of infants from 3-4 weeks to crawling. Infant massage helps a baby relax and release accumulated tensions; increases bonding and a desire to nurture between parents and child; and helps strengthen and regulate the respiratory, circulatory and gastrointestinal functions. Infant massage is a powerful resource for both baby and family. Instruction consists of three weekly, hour long sessions in which you'll learn and practice strokes for a full body massage. In addition, short routines are taught to help relieve gas pains and chest congestion. Sessions are cumulative with a make up offered in week 4. Dress in comfortable clothes for sitting on the floor. Please bring blankets, big towels, etc for baby to lie on. Massage oil will be provided. Instructor: Marianne Reis
