Nature Bits: Relaxed Nature Journaling in Line & Wash (Beginner and Up)"This weekly class introduces a gentle, accessible approach to nature journaling using simple line and wash watercolor techniques. The class focuses on observing and recording small “bits” of nature, leaves, shells, insects, houseplants, seasonal changes, photos, and memories, without requiring park trips, hiking, or long drawing sessions.
Each week includes a short, guided lesson or prompt focused on line and wash skills as they relate to journaling, such as loose sketching, minimal color, quick washes, and combining images with notes. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace, whether following the weekly prompt or continuing personal journal pages.
Individual instruction and personalized feedback are provided throughout the class, with an emphasis on observation, curiosity, and enjoyment rather than finished artwork or technical perfection. No prior experience with drawing, painting, or journaling is required.
This class is ideal for anyone who enjoys nature and wants a calm, creative weekly practice that fits comfortably into everyday life."
