Looking for a fun, active way to explore Howard County’s parks? Join us this spring at Rockburn Branch Park to explore the wonderful natural areas at our fingertips on these guided walks on natural trails! Get outside, get active and learn what Howard County has to offer! Registrants receive detailed directions/meeting locations prior to each hike. Walks range from 2 to 4 miles with easy to moderate terrain. Encore Adventures are your opportunity to dabble in a variety of outdoor skills! Try your hand at paddling a kayak, learn the basics of archery, get a grip on our indoor rock climbing wall and much more. Earn a certificate and patch for completing at least five Encore Adventure activities within a two-year period.
Participants meet at hiking location; this program meets in Rockburn Branch Park WEST – the Montgomery Road entrance adjacent to Rockburn Elementary School. This is NOT the same side as the turf fields off Landing Road. Detailed info will be emailed about a week prior to the program start.
