About this event
Get creative in this fun, hands-on workshop! We’ll be hand-building a divided piece that’s unique and functional. Choose your own adventure: a serving platter with multiple sections, a lunch tray-style plate, or even a divided paint palette! Are you a painter or know someone who is? These would make great gifts! You’ll have plenty of creative freedom to design your piece, while learning some useful hand-building techniques along the way. We’ll use slab construction to create the flat base, then divide the space by shaping shallow depressions into the clay or adding coils to create raised sections. Whether you’re dreaming up a practical serving dish or something a little more playful, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind piece designed by you! No previous experience with clay is required, but this class is open to people of all skill levels. These pieces can be as simple or elaborate as you would like. The basic skills will be taught, but everyone will enjoy a creative morning in the studio, no matter where your skills are! All the materials will be provided! This class will be taught by a lovely new-to-us & knowledgeable teacher - Sara White! Teton Arts Members: Don't forget to enter your member discount code at checkout for this class!
