About this event
This hands-on summer camp invites campers to explore the creative and calming world of fiber arts while making a difference in their community. Campers will learn and practice a variety of textile techniques including crocheting, knitting, macrame, embroidery, and loom weaving. Whether campers are brand new to fiber arts or already love crafting, they will gain new skills, confidence, and creativity through guided projects and open studio time. A special focus of the camp will be using our talents to help others. We will create handmade items such as hats, blankets, and scarves to donate to Knots of Love, a non-profit organization that provides comfort items to chemo patients and babies in neonatal intensive care units (NICU). Through this service project, campers will experience the joy of giving while learning how their creativity can make a real-world impact.
