Whether you have a perfectly good pair of barely-worn hiking boots that don’t fit you quite right, or perhaps the return window expired for an article of outdoor wear that you haven’t parted ways with yet – if you have a good condition item that needs to be rehomed, this is the event for you! Bring your clean, pre-loved items to our outdoor-themed clothing drive and help spark someone else’s journey into exploring the outdoors! Please be sure to only bring items you would gift to another person, or appreciate receiving as a gift yourself. Make sure all items brought are in ready-to-wear condition, and not in need of repairs or major alterations.
This activity will be a one-for-one swap, with individuals receiving one ticket for each item they bring to trade. Participants will then turn in those tickets in exchange for a different item of their choosing. All items must be clean and in working order, and be in either gently-used or new condition.
No items may be brought in prior to this activity, and no items may be stored or otherwise left on the premises without prior approval of the activity hosts.
Please arrive on time at 1 PM so that items brought may be inspected and arranged in the swapping area, and tickets can be dispersed to participants. Participating individuals will then be able to exchange their tickets for their new items starting promptly at 1:30 PM. This will be a first-come, first-served activity, and once an item has been exchanged and leaves the swapping area there will be no item returns or exchange reversals.
Additional upcoming item exchanges in our community sustainability series will be a Camping Gear and Equipment Exchange (held on Sept. 15th) and a Field Guide & Nature Book Swap (held on Oct. 11th) We will also be holding our annual End of Summer Plant & Seed Swap on September 27th.
