About this event
Club SciKidz’s Esports Minecraft Academy is a STEM.org accredited program that utilizes Minecraft Education Edition to teach the mechanics of competitive gaming. This curriculum moves beyond creative building to focus on collaborative strategy and tactical execution within team-based scrimmages. Core Learning Objectives: Game Sense & Analytics: Campers learn to analyze game mechanics, evaluate "meta-strategies," and use post-match reviews to identify areas for technical improvement. Team Communication (The "Shot-Caller" Model): Students practice professional-grade communication, learning how to give clear, concise directives under pressure—a skill directly transferable to corporate leadership. Digital Citizenship & Ethics: We prioritize a "Healthy Gaming" culture, teaching campers about online safety, responsible social interaction, and the importance of digital etiquette (anti-toxicity). Strategic Scrimmaging: Through daily friendly tournaments, campers work in "clans" to solve objective-based challenges, fostering a sense of community and collective achievement. Quick Facts for Busy Families STEM.org Accredited: Our curriculum is recognized for its rigorous integration of technology and social-emotional learning. Scholarship Mindset: We introduce campers to the world of collegiate Esports, showing them how their skills in Minecraft can lead to academic opportunities. Professional Mentorship: Instructors act as "coaches," facilitating structured practice sessions rather than unsupervised play. Full-Day Support: Most locations run from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with Pre-Camp (8:00 AM) and Post-Camp (until 5:30 PM) options to fit your workday. Join the Big Leagues This is not "screen time"—it’s skill time. Because of the team-based nature of this camp, registration is limited to ensure balanced "scrimmage squads." Don’t let your child just play the game; let them master it.
