This Arthritis Foundation class is for adults who can stand for at least 10 minutes, with a goal to gradually increase to 30 minutes of walking without lasting pain. All progress and goals are at YOUR own pace.
We discuss challenges and solutions for fibromyalgia, rheumatoid, and osteoarthritis; practice warm-up and cool-down routines; and create community together while building flexibility, cardio, and strength. WWE includes fieldtrips to local easy-to-walk trails.
You’ll receive a free textbook for the course that includes detailed info about fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and how they differ; stretching and strengthening skills; goal-setting and problem-solving techniques; and the chance to network with other community members to keep active in a way that meets your needs. Class meets for 18 sessions.
Come dressed to walk outside a bit every class period.
No Class May 25 for Memorial Day.
