Smartphone Safety: Simple Ways to Stay Safe OnlineScams are everywhere today-but protecting yourself doesn't have to be complicated. This engaging workshop helps seniors learn how to spot scams, protect their phones, and feel more confident using technology.
In this workshop, you'll learn safety habits like the 2-Breath Rule, how to recognize suspicious messages, and how to stop common scams such as fake account alerts, AI voice impersonations, and phishing texts. Then we'll move into a hands-on IPhone lab where volunteers will help you activate powerful safety features already built into your phone.
No tech experience required-just bring your phone and your curiosity.
This program is offered in partnership with the University of Tennessee Extension office of Williamson County. It is FREE but registration is required to reserve your seat as space is limited.
