Note: this workshop is for those with some prior wheel-throwing experience. You will be expected to center and pull 3" or higher walls with minimal instructor intervention. Over the 4 weeks, you'll create a cohesive 4-piece matcha set, including a 2 chawan (tea bowls), whisk holder, and large pouring bowl. On week 4 you will glaze your pieces. We'll focus on refining proportions, creating matching forms, and adding thoughtful details that make each piece both functional and beautiful. This workshop is ideal for intermediate to advanced throwers looking to expand their repertoire while crafting a set you'll enjoy using for years to come.
