About this event

Description

Discover the art of stained glass in this hands-on introductory class, focused on the copper foil technique made popular by Tiffany-style designs. This class welcomes both beginners and those with prior experience. Beginners will learn to cut glass, apply copper foil, and solder pieces together to create a beautiful panel. If you have experience, you're welcome to work on your own project with guidance as needed. Safety is a top priority-participants must wear close toed shoes and be prepared to follow all safety protocols. Some arm and hand strength is required for cutting and soldering. A $50 material fee is due at the beginning of each session to cover glass, foil, solder, and tool use. This class takes place on city property and all participants are expected to treat the space with respect. Cleanup is part of the process, and everyone helps maintain the facility. All levels are welcome in this creative, supportive environment.
