**Prior pottery wheel-throwing experience is required.** In this festive Halloween/Fall Theme one-time workshop, you’ll take to the pottery wheel to throw your very own pumpkin forms, then bring them to life with carving, texture, and personality. With guided instruction, you’ll learn how to shape a plump, curvy pumpkin on the wheel and create a stem for the perfect finishing touch. Once your pumpkins reach the leather-hard stage, you’ll get to the fun part: carving! Add classic pumpkin ridges, playful patterns, spooky faces, or your own creative designs to make each piece uniquely yours. Prior pottery wheel-throwing experience is required. This workshop is designed for students who are comfortable centering and throwing independently. Clay, tools, instruction, and firing are included. Your finished pumpkins will be dried and fired after the workshop, ready to become festive fall décor you’ll enjoy for years to come. You may choose to either return in 1-2 weeks to glaze it yourself, or choose from our dippable glazes (including pumpkin orange) and we will glaze it for you.
