Drumroll please, it's...ChiME Time! With the expert guidance of ChiME teaching artist Nashira Pearl, students will be singing, dancing, creating, clapping, and giggling up a storm in ChiME Time Rhythm & Rhyme. Students will practice movement patterns and coordination through folk dances, develop their independence and turn-taking skills through fun music games, explore the spectrum of musical opposites through instrument-play, and share their creativity through made-up songs that they compose together. As they explore diverse musical styles from familiar songs to global folk traditions, students will naturally strengthen both musical abilities—like keeping a steady beat and matching pitch—and vital social-emotional skills including confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
