Senior Studio Arts: Painting & Cuatro Creations is a creative and welcoming arts program designed for adults ages 55 and older. More than just an art class, this program provides a safe and supportive space where participants can gather, build new friendships, share experiences, and strengthen their connection to the community through creative expression. Participants will learn and practice a variety of artistic techniques, including painting, color theory, composition, texture, and mixed-media methods, while creating original works inspired by personal stories, Puerto Rican culture, and the arts. Throughout the winter term, participants will also design and create a unique cuatro-inspired art piece, celebrating the cultural significance of Puerto Rico's beloved national instrument. Whether participants are new to art or have previous experience, the program encourages lifelong learning, creativity, and social connection in an engaging studio environment.
