Art in Engineering Led by Allen Moore
(participants should bring a lunch and snack each day)

Learn the art of engineering by making art and sound projects that use engineering design principles.

Throughout the camp, participants will prototype, design, and fabricate their own projects using a range of tools in NEIU’s makerspace, including 3D printers and a laser cutter. They will also gain insight into career pathways and opportunities within the manufacturing field.
This is the third year of offering this camp and there may be similarities in the projects if you attended last year.

Led by Allen Moore

Allen Moore is a makerspace educator and interdisciplinary artist who bridges digital fabrication, sound, and visual art. Grounded in creative experimentation, his approach emphasizes hands-on learning and accessible technical skill-building. Moore supports learners in developing confidence with tools while encouraging critical thinking about material processes and self exploration.
