About this event
Get a front-row seat to Chattanooga Zoo's conservation speaker film screening while traveling in hidden tunnels and cave systems with explorers. Learn about the discovery of lost human ancestors who led the way to better archaeological, evolutionary, and conservation-based understandings of our past and future. This speaker screening highlights the work of John Mead, a teacher-of-the-year who traveled abroad and joined in these pivotal discoveries. By better connecting with our homosapien relatives, we build the first bridge to grow empathy for the wild we work to protect. Supported by the Teacher Institute for Evolutionary Sciences. Proceeds go to SAFE Chimpanzee, the Zoo's main primate conservation initiative with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. This free after-hours special event will take place in our Education Center, and does not include admission or access to the zoo.
