Calling all aspiring physicians, surgeons, biomedical engineers, and anyone intrigued by the medical field! Step into the world of medicine and unlock the mysteries of the human body while investigating organ systems, injuries, and healing through hands-on activities and simulations. Throughout the week, campers dissect a frog, examine a sheep heart, and build lung and heart models. They learn how wounds heal and practice medical skills such as suturing, splinting, first aid, and bandaging. Campers also design simple medical solutions like helmets and knee braces, learn how germs and viruses spread illness and how to help the body stay healthy. At the end of the week, campers take their “Medical Boards” and receive a stethoscope, first aid supplies, and a certificate to take home.
