Overview of the ProgramThe Powerful Tools for Caregivers program helps family caregivers manage the challenges of caregiving. It focuses on enhancing caregivers' well-being by teaching self-care strategies, stress management techniques, and effective communication skills. The program consists of eight class sessions, held once a week, and is led by trained instructors and leaders. Class fee includes the Powerful Tools for Caregivers workbook.
Once registered, a staff person will reach out to gather additional information as well as mail consent forms to complete and return prior to the first class. This training is sponsored by Normandale Center for Health and Wellness and follows protocol created by the National Council on Aging.
