Express your ideas and creativity through the beauty of painting. Begin to build a solid foundation of basic drawing and painting skills. You’ll learn the unique properties of this medium: composition, building values, and changing shapes into forms. Through natural progression, you’ll begin painting your own work of art, learn about color theory, and discuss the palettes of various artists. Students must provide their own supplies. Contact the CNC for a supply list.

Students will provide their own materials. Notebook and pen or pencil. Sketch Pad 9x12”. Pencils: 2H, HB, 2B, 4B and 6H. Kneaded eraser. Tracing paper 9x12”. Will discuss other supplies like different papers, paints, brushes etc. as the class progresses.
