About this event
Did you know that the original edition of Minecraft was built using Java? Now it’s your turn to learn the language that powers some of your favorite games and apps! This camp is the perfect introduction to the world of computer science, designed specifically to look behind the screen.  We strip away the mystery of coding and show you how it really works. You will learn how to "speak" to the computer using the professional syntax that real developers use every day. Through a series of fun, hands-on challenges, you will master the foundations of programming—learning how to use variables to store info, loops to repeat actions, and conditional logic to make decisions.  By the end of the week, you won’t just be playing games; you will be writing the code to create your own interactive programs and mini-challenges. Whether you dream of becoming a software engineer or just want to see how technology works, this is your first step into a bigger world!
