The glory of colored pencils is versatility. A relaxing hour with a coloring book or a drawing so detailed it almost passes for oil painting; that’s colored pencil! In this class we’ll look at both basic and advanced pencil techniques. We’ll also look at three pencil types (waxy, oily and watersoluble) as well as the importance of paper surfaces. In addition there will be small projects each week to perfect your skills.
All supplies will be provided. You will be using a variety of pencil and paper styles, by the end of this class you should have a clear idea of which pencil and paper you want and reliable sources. (Note: this is not a “how to draw” class, rather a how to “apply color “ to your drawings).
