You are on the go with your iPhone and want to do a quick search—Safari is the place to start. This course explores Safari’s opening page, efficient search strategies, the hidden possibilities within the Share feature, Reader View, and more. After five lessons, you will truly know the ins and outs of Safari on your iPhone. Learner Note: Recorded in 2023 on iOS 16. Safari on iPhone has received some interface updates in recent versions of iOS, so a few screens may look slightly different. Features and strategies taught are still available and work the same way. Works with: All iPhones running iOS 16–26. BoomerTECH Adventures was begun in 2014 by three Maine educators who have worked with adults and technology for more than 100 years (collectively) providing expert guidance and personalized resources for the 55+ age group to develop competence and confidence using Apple devices: Ed Brazee—tennis player, runner, “refocused” professor & author/editor; Jill Spencer—traveler, enthusiastic gardener and photographer, middle school teacher, international consultant, and author; Chris Toy—chef, YouTube cooking sensation, long-distance biker, school principal, international consultant, and author. This online course is designed for students to complete on their own time and at their own speed. Students receive a digital (PDF) booklet that includes class instructions and content (videos and articles). Instructors provide personalized support via email and/or online chat. The course will take you approximately 6 hours over a month’s time to complete the tasks depending upon how much time you want to commit. Once you gain access to the class content, you have it to keep and refer to for as long as you need. TECH REQUIRED: a strong Internet connection (or access to one) and a Mac computer, iPad, or iPhone to access videos and articles.
