Join us in supporting literacy and the Buchanan-Haralson Public Library. Our 13th annual 5K RUN FOR THE BOOKS begins and ends at the Haralson County Historic Courthouse, built in 1892. Each registration by April 5th guarantees our custom T-shirt. Sign in begins at 7:30am and the race begins at 8:30am with police escort. We will award top trophies for best male and best female run times. We have awards for 12 age groups. We provide 2 water stations on the route, along with snacks and drinks at the finish line. As our event is the major fundraiser for our small library, we cannot offer refunds for inclement weather. Plan to run, RAIN OR SHINE. We hope it shines, as this is also the day for the City of Buchanan's FAIR ON THE SQUARE. Lots of vendors, good food and free entertainment.
