Audition Workshop This workshop is specifically designed for students applying to performing arts high schools in New York City and will also prepare students for professional auditions for theater, film, and television. In class, students will be given access to monologues and/or songs that are appropriate to their performance style and will receive 1-on-1 and group instruction to build a solid understanding of the fundamentals of acting, using character, objectives, and tactics to create a strong performance of their material. All students applying to performing arts schools will be taped at BCT and receive the footage to submit in school applications. The class ends with a final sharing of student work for friends and family at BCT. IMPORTANT DATES Thursday, June 11th, 4:30-6:30pm -- Monologue and Song selection day at BCT. All enrolled students will have access to BCT's monologue and song library and pick the pieces required for their high school auditions with help from BCT's staff and coaches. Week of August 3rd -- Memorization check-in (one-on-one over Zoom, will schedule individually) Fridays, September 18th-November 20th, 4:30-6:30pm -- High School Audition Workshop! Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd -- Self-tape filming days. All enrolled students must be available to film on one of those days at the Studios in order to receive their self-tape from us. Filming day sign-up will be held after the first class in September.
