The Summit Hockey Rec League is our recreational co-ed division, perfect for skaters with a basic level of talent and an understanding of fundamental skills and concepts. This league provides a fun, supportive environment for players of all abilities within the recreational range.
Key rules for this league include blue-line icing and 12-minute periods. One female skater (excluding the goalie) must be on the ice at all times. Slap shots are not allowed, and stick recoil must be kept below the knees for safety. To maintain the recreational spirit of the league, team may not roster skaters with advanced skills or above-recreational playing experience.
League Schedule:
- Regular game nights are Thursdays.
- Additional games may be scheduled on Sundays and Wednesdays, depending on league registration.
- A bye week may occur if an odd number of teams register.
Season Details:
- Start Date: May 21, 2026
- Regular Season: 10 games per team
- Double elimination playoff format (2 game minimum)
- 12 total games guaranteed
Cost:
- $2,500: Full payment before the registration deadline (May 8th, 2026).
- $2,700: Payment plan option with a $1,000 deposit due at registration. Remaining balance must be paid by June 18th, 2026.
