Ceramics: Intermediate / Advanced Independent Studio Class
No Instruction

Relax this summer in the BBAC Ceramic Arts Studio and create your own work at your own pace. Students must be working at an advanced level to use the equipment in the studio independently.

Please fill out the form available in the ceramics department through your current BBAC ceramics instructor or BBAC ceramics technician, Brooke Herzing, to determine if you are working at an advanced, independent level.

Prerequisite: Must be a BBAC Member and intermediate/advanced ceramicist to participate.

Levels 3 & 4
Tuesdays, June 23 – August 18
4:30 pm – 7:30 pm, 9 sessions
$250 Members, $71 Materials/Studio Fees

Additional Clay Purchases in Summer Term

Students must purchase additional clay, if needed, during BBAC summer business hours, Mon-Fri: 9 am-4 pm (by phone or in front office.)

Open Studio Time:

Saturdays, June 27 – August 15

No studio July 4

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

(Students can only stay more than 3 hours if space allows.

There cannot be more than 12 students in studio at a time.)

Additional Clay Purchases - Summer Term

Students can purchase up to two additional bags of clay during the summer term,

Ceramics Department Policies Ceramic classes and/or open studios are to further the education experience and not intended to be a production studio. Only work made at BBAC using clay from BBAC, can be glazed and fired at BBAC. Participants in this department are not allowed to bring work from outside this studio to be glazed and fired at BBAC.
Purchasing Clay at the BBAC:One 25 lb. bag of clay is included with your Independent Studio Class. BBAC offers the service of purchasing additional clay (one bag at a time) and can be purchased during BBAC business hours Monday-Friday. Limit is three, 25 lb. bags per term. Each 25 lb. bag of Wheatstone is $21. Each 25 lb. bag of Porcelain is $24.
