Description
Painting: Large Scale Painting
Instructor: Anatoliy Shapiro
Students that have not been in this class before will receive instruction on how to create a large painting from pictures and sketches. Images can be projected on canvas using an overhead projector, enabling larger-scale proportions for painting. Returning students will work independently with individual help from the instructor on their current painting(s). Composition will be discussed to acquire a better understanding of methods, color and value as it applies to their work. Painting media can include latex, acrylic, and oil and applied to a stretched canvas, 24 x 36 inches, or larger. Bring your ideas, and references, such as photographs and / or sketches to the FIRST class.
