Metalsmithing: Stone Setting - Level 3
Instructor: Darlene Earls
This class will focus on flush setting, tube setting, bezel setting, and prong setting. Through demonstrations and practice, students will learn a comprehensive understanding of setting stones. A variety of setting tools will be custom made and explained. Control and mastery of techniques will be the emphasis of the class. Several projects will be proposed. Most materials are provided for this class except silver products which are not included in the material/studio fees.
Prerequisite: This is an advanced metalsmithing course. Knowledge of soldering and finishing required. The completion of beginning and intermediate jewelry / metals classes is required.

Metals/Jewelry Department Students
All Jewelry/Metals students pay a fee to cover supplies, and the use of tools/studio equipment during the class periods.
Materials list of items to bring:-Please bring a small notebook and pencil to class -Wear close-toed shoes and long pants-Bring your own safety goggles, or you can share the studio goggles
