Jewelry & Metalsmithing: Casting & Moldmaking
Instructor: Robin Servo
Students are introduced to the lost-wax casting process including instruction of all steps necessary to complete a final, (jewelry scale) casting. Both centrifugal and vacuum casting processes, as well as various wax-working and mold-making techniques will be demonstrated in this class. Most materials are provided for this class except silver products which are not included in the material / studio fees.
Prerequisite: The completion of a beginning jewelry / metals class including torch soldering.

BBAC Metals/Jewelry Department Students
All Jewelry/Metals students pay a fee to cover most supplies, and the use of tools/studio equipment during the class periods. Wearing a mask in the BBAC metals studio is encouraged.
Student Materials List:-Bring a small notebook and pencil to class
-Bring your own safety goggles, or you can share the studio goggles-wear close-toed shoes and long pants
