Experience and discover the timeless beauty ofJapanese calligraphy (Shodo), a traditional artform that combines penmanship with artisticexpression. Using brushes and ink, you can createa wide range of lines, thicknesses, and gradations,from simple strokes to complex characters.This class covers from the basics to advancedtechniques, allowing you to explore your creativityand connect with the essence of each character.This course offers a unique opportunity to expressyourself through the beauty of Shodo.On the first day of class, please bring yourcalligraphy tools if you have them — or if not, theinstructor will share her materials. We will discussmaterials in class to bring for week two.
