This course is designed to aid in the transition from standard education to the rigor of ASFA Math-Science for incoming 7th graders. During the three week course students will be challenged on their understanding of the topics they have already covered, mainly Numerical Literacy. After a strong understanding of previous knowledge and skill is assessed, we will move on to more challenging topics like Sequences and Series which are often not covered in a standard Pre-Algebra courses. The camp also allows for students to meet future classmates and learn how to work together to solve complex problems, something they will need to do for the next six years at ASFA. In short, Foundations of Pre-Algebra will give your student all of the necessary tools they need to start their journey through the world of Math and Science off on the right foot!
