Matter of the Imagination (MoTI), is collaborating with the Arts Council of Big Sky to host a free zine-making workshop centered on science fiction and fantasy. Start with a quick doodle warm-up, then create your own mini zine inspired by imaginative themes like magical worlds, strange creatures, or futuristic ideas. All materials are provided and no experience is needed. Come chat, experiment, get creative, and leave with your own handmade zine! Participants will explore the basics of making zines, what they are, their history as self-published works, and how they have long been a medium for creative freedom and community expression. By the end of the workshop, each participant would leave with their own handmade zine and a deeper connection to both the creative process and the MoTI community. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
